Privacy Policy
We do not collect your personal data
TestCentre.UK is a static, read-only website. There are no user accounts, contact forms, or newsletter sign-ups. We use privacy-friendly, fully anonymous analytics that cannot identify you, and we do not receive, store, or have access to any personal data about you.
The three third-party services that power this site - Cloudflare, OpenFreeMap and PostHog - do process limited technical data as part of normal internet operation. That processing is described below, along with links to their own privacy policies where you can exercise your rights directly.
Cloudflare (hosting & security)
This website is delivered through Cloudflare's global network. As a standard part of serving any website, Cloudflare processes your IP address and HTTP request metadata (page requested, browser type, timestamp) to route traffic and protect against malicious activity. We do not have access to this data - Cloudflare holds it under their own data processing terms.
OpenFreeMap (interactive maps)
When you view a map on this site, your browser connects directly toOpenFreeMap (tiles.openfreemap.org) to download map tiles. OpenFreeMap processes your IP address as part of that connection. This happens between your browser and OpenFreeMap - we are not party to it and do not receive the data. OpenFreeMap is a free, open-source map host that requires no registration or API keys and sets no cookies. The underlying map data comes from OpenStreetMap.

PostHog (anonymous analytics)
We use PostHog, an open-source analytics platform, as our analytics processor to understand in aggregate how the site is used so we can improve it. Our PostHog instance is hosted in the European Union (eu.posthog.com), so this data does not leave the EU.
PostHog is configured to be cookieless: it sets no cookies and stores nothing on your device. Visitors are counted using a privacy-preserving hash generated on PostHog's servers that rotates daily and cannot be reversed to identify you, and your IP address is discarded.
We record basic usage signals - pages viewed, clicks and interactions, and general device and browser type - to see which centres and features people find useful. We never capture the text you type. Because this data carries no cookies, no IP address, and no persistent identifier, it cannot be linked to you or used to build a profile, there is no cross-site tracking, and it is never used for advertising or sold.
Your data rights
Because we hold no personal data ourselves, any data subject request (access, erasure, objection, etc.) should be directed to the relevant third party:
- For data processed as part of site delivery: Cloudflare
- For data processed when loading maps: OpenFreeMap
- For anonymous usage analytics: PostHog

Purpose of this website
TestCentre.UK is an independent, unofficial information service. It aggregates publicly available DVSA driving test centre data to help learner drivers compare pass rates and find nearby test centres. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or acting on behalf of the Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA) or any government body.
Data accuracy
Test centre statistics are derived from public data released under the Open Government Licence v3.0. While we take reasonable steps to present this data accurately, we make no warranty - express or implied - regarding its completeness, accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose, or currency. Pass rates and centre information may be out of date.
Always verify test centre information, availability, and booking details directly with the DVSA or through the official GOV.UK booking service.
Intellectual property
The underlying DVSA data is Crown Copyright and licensed under the Open Government Licence v3.0. The design, code, and non-OGL content of this website are the property of TestCentre.UK and may not be reproduced without permission, except as permitted by law.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by English law, TestCentre.UK shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, this website or its content.
Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for any liability that cannot be excluded by law.
